Together, these modules guide students through the progressive stages of applied business research, from refining a problem and selecting appropriate methods to conducting the study and presenting well-founded findings. The overall aim is to equip students to produce credible, evidence-based research that supports sound managerial judgement and responsible organisational performance.

    Entrepreneurship and Business Development Entrepreneurial thinking and enterprise development are central to this module. Students are introduced to the entrepreneurial mindset, the opportunities it creates, and the practical skills required to develop, launch and manage viable enterprises. International Business International business principles are examined to strengthen managerial capability and organisational competitiveness in a global context. The module is particularly relevant to those involved in, or considering, international business activity. Management of Technology and Innovation Designed for managers, executives and practitioners, this module explores how technology and innovation can be managed to support competitiveness. It links organisational technology activities to relevant tools, techniques and decision-making frameworks used in dynamic business environments. Public Sector Leadership and Governance Public sector leadership and governance are explored in relation to constitutional practice, public policy and effective service delivery. The module highlights the importance of democracy, honesty and competency in supporting good governance within state institutions. Project Management Project management is presented as an evolving discipline that strengthens organisational performance, accountability and collaboration. The module combines theoretical engagement with practical, group-based learning to reflect the consultative nature of project work. Quality Management and Monitoring and Evaluation This module examines how quality management, monitoring and evaluation can improve organisational performance and service delivery. It considers how these practices support both public and private institutions in measuring progress, enhancing effectiveness and building competitive advantage.
