    Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning

    The Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning prepares graduates and professionals for advanced careers in financial advisory and wealth management. The programme develops specialised knowledge and practical expertise in personal financial management, corporate financial management, investment planning, retirement planning, taxation, and financial advisory services. Learners gain the ability to assess financial needs, develop tailored financial strategies, and provide informed financial guidance to individuals, businesses, and organisations.

    Designed to meet the growing demand for qualified financial planners in an increasingly complex financial environment, the qualification equips learners with the analytical, ethical, and professional skills needed to operate confidently within the financial services sector. Graduates are prepared for specialist roles such as financial advisor, portfolio manager, pension and estate planner, investment specialist, and insurance development manager, while also gaining a pathway towards further postgraduate study.

    Requirements and Opportunities

    Admission requirements

    To apply for this qualification, a student must have:

    • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (NQF Level 7, 360 Credits), or an Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Finance (NQF Level 7, 120 Credits). 

    Technical requirements

    To successfully complete your online qualification, you will need: 


    • A laptop or desktop computer
    • A stable internet connection
    • To be computer literate

    Modules & Credits

    Fees are paid per module. The programme will be completed over two years. Compulsory modules - 120 credits

    Fees are subject to an annual increase.

    Fees are payable at the start of each module and payment must be received by the payment deadline to successfully register and start the programme.
